Common IM Injection Sites & Landmarks - Canine & Feline

IM injection is a route of drug administration that involves injecting a drug through a hypodermic needle that has been inserted into the belly of a muscle. The large blood supply of the muscle leads to rapid absorption of the drug into the bloodstream for distribution to the rest of the body.
